I have so much love for Chris Cornell- I have most all of his music and am basically never disappointed. When I would buy his music, I would just buy albums without listening because I have so much faith in him. This album though- not listening to it first was a huge mistake. I’m to this day totally flabbergasted at how terrible every single song is. I love him, and the lyrics aren’t bad but the songs have no real rhythm and catch, they are way off from the audio sound wise, and whatever is being sung is a completely different tune from the music. It’s almost like he wrote a set of music and a set of lyrics and mismatched all of them. Really- writing this pains me so much, but this has to be one of the worst albums I’ve ever heard in my life. I can’t bring myself to actually delete the album off my phone or get rid of the CD, but anytime it comes on, I immediately skip it. It’s almost physically painful to try to sit through a song. It’s just very cringe-y how off the music is from the song being sung. Even if I’m the only one who feels this way- please listen to the album first before purchasing it. If you love it, awesome- I just don’t want someone to be disappointed in their purchase.

I enjoyed this album, while it is obviously not anything like soundgarden, it is a good listen. I think that you don't know a artist until they release a solo album, that is when you really meet them outside of a band. Here you meet another side outside of Soundgarden

I was really hesitant to buy this because of the reviews saying it sucked. But I picked it up for $8 at a local record shop and definitely don't regret it! Billie Jean was worth it, an absolutely amazing cover. Finally forever is heartfelt and sweet, and Disappearing Act is really good. All of the songs are good, just not hard or even alternative rock. It's more bluesy/jazz, which I think is a great use of Cornell's voice. Definitely glad I picked this up!
